Lifetime Achievers shine at the 2017 Manitoba Business Hall of Fame Gala

By Taylor McCaffrey LLP on 2017/05/09

Taylor McCaffrey LLP has been helping new companies succeed for more than 50 years , so the firm is happy to be supporting the Manitoba Business Hall of Fame Gala on May 11, 2017, at the Metropolitan Entertainment Centre.

The Manitoba Business Hall of Fame was established in 2012 by JA Manitoba, and it continues to serve as an opportunity to recognize people who dedicated a lifetime to enhancing the economic prosperity of Manitoba through entrepreneurship.

Since 1955, Junior Achievers has educated and inspired over 4 million Canadian youth. Each year, over 250,000 Canadian students participate in JA financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship programs.

The Hall of Fame Gala is JA Manitoba’s only fundraising event with all proceeds going towards the delivery of in-class and after-school business education programs, spanning grades three to 12. Their programs, facilitated by volunteers from the Manitoba business community, provide youth with many of the tools and skills required to be self sufficient, and develop essential life skills through exposure to interactive activities and innovative business solutions.

Inductees are widely respected for their integrity, business acumen and community contributions. They are regarded as inspiring role models for enterprising Junior Achievement students and young Canadians.

Here’s who will be inducted at this year’s Manitoba Business Hall of Fame Gala:

  • Hon. Douglas D. Everett, Chairman Emeritus and Strategic
    Advisor, Royal Canadian Securities Ltd.
  • Philip Kives, Founder, K – Tel Entertainment Ltd.
