Planning for death and incapacity seems like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be.
At Taylor McCaffrey LLP we are committed to making quality estate planning services convenient and accessible to our client.
Dedicated to quality, our goal is to provide legal services and resources that can only come from an experienced law firm. Bespoke estate planning services are available through our Wills, Estate & Trusts practice group. Our Wills, Estate & Trusts lawyers are well versed in all areas of planning from the simplest estate to the most complex of estate planning considerations, such as tax reduction, family law issues, planning for special needs beneficiaries, planning for complex or cross border assets, and much more. In addition to our bespoke estate planning services, Taylor McCaffrey LLP is committed to making estate planning accessible to all. As such, we have taking the initiative of offering fixed fee estate planning workshops for certain groups that have simple estates and similar estate planning needs. These groups include:
- Couples with young children
- Single parents of young children
- Parents of adult children
- Other specific groups may be added upon request (such as planning for a disabled child, planning for newly separated or divorced spouses, planning for blended families, faith based planning for members of a particular faith groups, etc.).
Please note that workshops are a great option for people with fairly basic estates. They are not suited for couples or individuals with more complex estate plans. Please review our Workshop Eligibility Form to ensure this is a good fit for you prior to registering.
These workshops are being offered in a group setting of no more than 20 participants (or 10 couples). Though the information you share with your lawyer will be confidential, any information disclosed or questions raised during the workshop will not be confidential. Nevertheless, we do encourage you to share additional information and ask questions of your lawyer following the workshop if you are concerned about confidentiality.
By offering estate planning workshops, we are able to provide a fixed fee for our services, and we are able to reduce the cost of implementing an estate plan.
In an effort to reduce the spread of Covid-19, workshops are currently being offered through the Zoom video conference interface. Please ensure that you are able to join us using Zoom prior to registering. Shortly following the workshop, your draft documents will be sent to you by e-mail for your review. We will then call you within the next few days to confirm that the documents reflect your wishes and to schedule a time to meet with a lawyer to sign your documents. Please see the FAQs section for more information.
